Welcome!
Welcome to High School Grind: a blog for students coping with the stresses of high school. Being caught in a thought cycle revolving around GPAs, extracurriculars, SAT and ACT preparation has undoubtedly taken a toll on the mental health of teenagers today.
The American Psychological Association found that when reporting their stress levels on a 10-point scale, “Teens reported that their stress levels during the school year far exceeded what they [APA] believe to be healthy…and topped adults’ average reported stress levels.”

It is far too easy to get overwhelmed, feel alone, or throw in the towel when work piles up amid the school year. What I hope to do is share the thoughts, ideas, and advice of my peers to keep students focused, ambitious, and sane throughout their four-year journey. It is a privilege our experiences with you and to form a community that is eager to lift others as we prepare for adulthood.
I’d like to leave you with a quote that summarizes what I hope others will take away from this blog:
“Ambition is the path to success. Persistence is the vehicle you arrive in.”
– Bill Bradley
